Rollbar padding of the type that is SFI or FIA homolgated is used to reduce the risk of hemorrhage on the brain if the helmet hits the rollcage.
The padding may seem hard, but in reality it is significantly softer than a rollcage tube.
The padding is installed with double coated tape and plastic straps.
It must be permanently fixed to the rollcage tube.
If the padding is preheated it can be bent to follow the shape of the pipes.
All pipes inside the vehicle that possibly can bend towards the occupant should be covered with rollcage padding.
